Novikov & Shishkin described a new longirostrine trematosaur, Morovius juliaromanorum, from the Early Tr of Russia and provide an overview of Lonchorhynchinae/dae (they continue the Russian tradition of using slightly different taxonomic frameworks than most other workers): doi.org/10.1134/S003...
The holotype of the new trematosaur Morovius juliaromanorum from the Early Triassic of Russia. The holotype is the preorbital region of the skull, exposed both dorsally and ventrally and with clear sutures, ornamentation, and dentition, and an associated lower jaw fragment, which comprises most of the jaw posterior to the tooth row (e.g., jaw articulation). Referred cranial fragments of the trematosaur Morovius juliaromanorum from the Early Triassic of Russia; one fragment is a long, straight, tooth-bearing fragment that represents much of the prenarial region; the other is a partial fragment of the postorbital region, with about 60% of the orbit defined.
