Tried my hand at some grimdarkness on this truescale Astartes. I think he fits right in on my Space Hulk vignette I made previously. What do you think, Heroes?

now that we got truescale termies. and now with melee. why would gravis get any melee options. they are done. its a deadend.
ranged options? i dunno. they did that flaccid attempt of giving gravis heavy bolt rifle? why? why wasnt it just a squad of just heavy bolters?

Primaris are not beating the "they just wanted to phase in truescale space marines" allegations and you know what? I'm fine with that.

I actually had a dream last night that they released a new tactical squad kit that was truescale and only a teensy bit smaller than Primaris, like the Space Marine Heroes models.

The way games workshop rolled out the primaris marines still makes me laugh. Obviously there was demand for truescale marines and you don't want to invalidate everyone's old minis in your true-line-of-sight wargame, but a little note with "increase your base height by X milimeters" would've worked.

Oh yeah, the wonkiness of the internal scale of 40k on the tabletop is a whole other can of worms!
I suppose it might be fun to print off an upscaled 'truescale' Rhino one day, see how weird it feels.

The true scale is almost certainly worse than the dire official statistics suggest, making this crisis even more alarming.

At 1:900, the old Maurauder giant can be put into 1:300 epic as a truescale space marine or tall fella.
Would be interesting to man an island fort with in-scale cannons and figures, or an entire WHFB army.
IIRC the WD terrain isles used the mighty empires fort, but it's a little on the small side.

Took a painting break from weird war, to finish up some Silver Bayonet related stuff; some bandits, a headless horseman, and a pack of wolves (regular, non-giant/dire wolves). I am quite happy with the wolves, as they are actually Copplestone Castings 10mm giant wolves. pretty good 28mm truescale.
