We must end the scourge of gun violence in America.

We also need to have honest conversations about the ways internet platforms profit from fear, hatred, and division.

Both are vital to the future of this country.

I'm not seeing anyone else offer up any ideas.

I think a better system would be to hold the social media platforms that host those "media" outlets accountable. If a social media platform is being used to spread misinformation and create spin, it should be held accountable.

I'd just like to point out how weird it is that places with hundreds or even thousands of reporters — the NYT, WaPo, CBS, NBC, AP, etc. — are all getting pummeled on every major story by the dozen computerboys at Wired. To fumble the bag this consistently is, at some point, cowardice and a choice.
