What a great way to end the day! My #DangerGalDossier contributor copy for R.Talsorian Games arrived! It’s my second project with them and they’re a dream to work with. #TTRPGFreelancer

Sent off my 7k with a little wiggle room last night. Now we wait for the 14k contract.

ALWAYS get a contract upfront. And never fuck around with clowns who claim you don't need one. That's just a red flag that they plan on exploiting you.

My usual process is to leave around 5-7% of the wordcount unwritten in my first draft I send to a client. Then I can flesh out what they want me to. But it’s far harder to trim off excess.

Finished up another first draft for a client late last night. First time on a project like this. #gamewriting #boardgamewriting #ttrpgwriting #ttrpgfreelancer

Yesterday was rough. Been a rough work week at the day job and it was just Tuesday. 500 word day. Let’s be strong today!

TTRPG devs, if you do not know what you want—you are not ready to hire freelancers. I need a project brief with outline and wordcount. I need a formatting guide. And I need you to answer emails. Any of them over 5 months.

It was a good 1k day! I was getting worried for a second, because my partner and I were out until 7pm running errands, going to medical appointments, and going to meetings. I ended up having to take a short rest after as well.

Hit a snag in my TTRPG assignment. But thank goodness we identified it early in the dev cycle. Spent the weekend re-writing the relevant portions. But we should still be on course to finish early. #ttrpgwriting #ttrpgfreelancer #freelancewriter

We just broke 6k in my 7k assignment. Just going to tie things up for the time being. I’m waiting on a rule book so I can reference it for a few specific rules-related issues. #ttrpgwriter #ttrpgfreelancer #freelancewriter #ttrpgindustry

Just updated my credits on my website. Lots of good stuff coming out, and more in progress right now!
