Convenience stores in sketchy parts of town might put up a sign saying, "no backpacks allowed in store, leave them in front." So now, instead of the store losing like $50 worth of shit that a tweaker can stuff into a backpack, that tweaker can steal my backpack with $1k worth of stuff in it.
