Twinworld

I have just spent 15 minutes playing this and I enjoyed every minuite. Imagine if I had read the manual and knew what I was doing..? Likely one of the first Ubisoft games, this #C64 platformer is actually really quite accomplished. There is a lot to it though. Find the manual!
There is quite a lot going on in this rather nifty-looking C64 loading screen for Twinworld. A green dragon is breathing fire, over a twilightscape stars in the sky and shadowy mountains behind, in the centre sits a fortress, or castle and a lake, and we see the human-looking hero close to us, looking down upon their journey to come. A weird AF UBISoft logo and the Twinworld logo and a half-crescent moon.

41/ TwinWorld: Land of Vision

One of my favourite Amiga games, explore the levels in search of amulet fragments, making good use of the items you come across. A game with an enchanting atmosphere and music.

CF seemed to like it and with the downsides being fairly innocuous, this probably should be in the 90s...

Twinworld : Land of Vision
Commodore Amiga
Published by Ubisoft in 1989

A fantasy platformer that requires perfect jumping. Find 23 pieces of the Amulet !!
The main character is a bit off-putting here, but the game is decent enough. 🤔🕹️

Posta game you remember playing that nobody else remembers.

If I ever get on @looksunfamiliar.bsky.social , this would be one of my choices, even though I'd get mocked for being a teacher's kid who had an Acorn Archimedes. 😁
The title screen to TwinWorld on the Acorn Archimedes. A three headed green deagon breathes fire is the main element of a fantastical scene, including a castle and mointains.

If you see this, QTP with a video game that transports you back to your childhood!

(Twinworld, a Euro platformer I played on the Acorn Archimedes. Probably the first full length adventure I ever completed, playing with my Dad.)
Screenshot of Twinworld. A green suited elf like figure is in a trees-and-caves environment. There are brown stone statues carved into the rocks with monstrous faces and shapes. A green monster - basically a fanged face with legs and wings- walks on a platform nearby. The sky looks evening-to-night with red stars Below the main screen is a gold, white and black HUD displaying score, keys obtained, time left, health left and ammunition left

350. Twinworld. At primary school, on special occasions, we were allowed to play games in our IT lessons. One of the games they had was this. My memories of it are limited, but there are vague images burned into my brain. One I’d like to see on @evercade.co.uk so I can revisit some day. #365games
