The FCA is incompetent at best, dishonest at worst; slow and inadequate, its leaders opaque and unaccountable, say MPs/Peers.

Mistreats consumers and small businesses, does little/nothing to punish wrongdoing.

All UK regulators are puppets of industries.

£1bn HBOS frauds: FCA/SFO passed the buck to LLoyds Bank. Promised report in 2018. None published. No inquiry.

The Electoral Commission said: “For UK crypto payment providers registered with the FCA, we are able to request details of their customers in a similar way to traditional financial institutions. However, we are limited in the information we can obtain from crypto providers that are based overseas.”
