Enjoyed a visit to Woorgreens, Forest of Dean, yesterday (06.08.26). Nice to find a good variety of dragonfly and damselfly, despite it being a cool day with quite a lot of cloud. Highlight for me was coming across this Red-veined Darter. #ukdragonflies #ukwildlife #odonata

This pair of copulating Lesser Emperors landed right in front of me at Kenfig Pool this morning. Unfortunately they were spooked by a Common Whitethroat leaving me with no chance to get more than this one shot #ukdragonflies #KenfigNNR

A visit to Priddy pools on the Mendips, Somerset in the hope of seeing a variety of Dragonflies. Unfortunately not many seen but very pleased to see a few Downy Emerald’s, a real stunner with those beautiful green eyes. #ukdragonflies

Sometimes it gets just too hot! This Ruddy Darter is pointing its abdomen towards the sun to minimise the surface area exposed.
