An update from me - there's an addition to the family arriving earlier than planned so this is about as polished as it'll get for now: Beta for Version 2 of TerraVolt. It has quirks & faults but it is about usable & less heavy going on devices:

Heavy gas usage day today. Pretty much all the CCGT fleet is in along with a fair chunk of OCGT (which will no doubt rise for the peak tonight) #energysky #ukgrid.

Using Docker, you can run a local instance of Open Meteo in order to guarantee a weather feed should the others fail. Check out the README.MD on Github for details of how to do this. Screen captures of the grid monitor are also on this page:

Gas demand is exceeding supply by 14% with the linepack in "drawdown" mode. Gas generators are consuming gas at a rate of 47.6 mcm/day to supply 10.27 GW of electricity. Norwegian imports of gas account for only 40.3 mcm/day at this moment.
