Working on getting a standard going. I spent way too long looking for a way to track my word count and make a daily set goal, played around with too many apps, but got the words I wanted in today. #writing #writingcommunity #ulyssesapp #dailywordgoal

#digitalindependenceday as a matter of fact, I am using European and Australian software for most productivity tasks:
- #ulyssesapp for writing and note taking.
- #dxo PhotoLabs for photo editing.
- #sitely Website Builder for personal and community websites.

Houston is freezing today, with snow expected tomorrow. Schools have already closed until Thursday. I highly doubt I’ll be hitting hardly any of my goals (writing, language, or fitness) but I did get this one today

Now that I’m working with word goals, and #ulyssesapp doesn’t let you just set a daily word goal for everything, I think I’m going to have to update my workflow.

Thinking I’ll rely on the inbox and tags a lot more than before. Anyone do something similar?

My Writing Setup Update – The Tools I Used For Writing in 2025
I know I’m usually curious about the way others write, what equipment do they use, and what software.  These things intrigue me.  I’ve always wondered how the great writers did what they did. I’m not a great writer, but I thought that other’s might like to know what I do and how I do it.

Last week I talked to @macguru17 at the Apple Developer event in Berlin and told him my girlfriend is writing a book in @ulyssesapp.

Today we received an awesome gift in our mailbox: Stickers, pins, cards and pens.

We are so so happy! Thank you for making our day, Max!

One of the biggest advantages I’ve found with @ulyssesapp is the ton of export options for my writing.

From plain text and Markdown all the way to HTML, ePub, and PDF it’s really solved a bunch of headaches I had with every other writing tool until recently.

also first time using #nextjs and @tailwindcss. But just parsing a @NotionHQ export, to not be dependent on changing apis or else. Also blogs will be mdx, so i can write them with @ulyssesapp

@ulyssesapp loving the app so far and considering making the leap from Evernote. Is there a maximum number of sheets the system can handle as an import? I’m bringing around 18,000 notes that serve as the understructure to many of my writing projects…

Am overall loving @ulyssesapp for my daily writing, but I don't like how it hides the markdown for links—have to hover to see a link & can't see the parenthesis you'd see in typical markdown. Is there any way to tell Ulysses to just use the standard [text](link) in document?

As much as I adore using @ulyssesapp on my iPad, the amount of times it crashes and doesn’t reopen until I reboot is infuriating.
