Until the trotskyists #UnderpantsGnomes are thoroughly removed from seats of influence in #UCU, any potential industrial action will be bent towards their idiotic fetish of permanent revolution via strikes at the expense of improvements in workers pay, benefits & conditions.
Have just been on the #UCU call about the current consultation on whether to take IA over the latest pay offer. I have already voted saying I both reject the pay offer and am willing to take IA over it.

I don't think being expected to make a profit is going to work out for them. Almost nobody is paying for AI, but they keep dumping money into it like a bottomless pit. Now 20% of the US GDP is in AI, and we're totally cooked because the business model is:
AI + ? = PROFIT
