My nine games in no particular order.

HFTF was my first fighting game, UNIST was my first tournament-playing one, Plus R was a big step into netplay during lockdowns, and SF6 is my current competitive game.

Waiting for the day Chronicle Mode gets added to UNI2. That was the shit back in the day in UNIST. Although, that was FOREVER ago. I was in high school when I was reading through UNIST story mode... god what the fuck. Hyde fan since high school that's crazy.

also UNIST is here because that fateful day on 2019 was the beginning of my fighting game brainrot. EVERYTHING from Street Fighter to The King of Fighters started making so much sense to me as time went on 💀

For more modern titles the world is your oyster, both stive and sf6 are great titles, granblue is stupid fun, I haven't played Unist in a while but it was a treat back when I did and Blazblue is about to be getting a bunch of new stuff as well

부산과기대가 어딘가 했더니 UNIST 이런 게 아니라 구포에 있던 옛날 부산정보대였구만.

I still have not actually learned Seth's UNI2 bnb lmao.

Doing the UNIST bnb still.

pleasure to be an audience of the great talk by @spintheory.bsky.social at StatPhys monthly meeting @ UNIST

Also excellent mascot, Western universities are really lacking in the mascot department 🫣

And actually, for the Korean physicists around here, today and tomorrow I have the pleasure of not just attending, but also of giving a lecture at the monthly meeting of the KPS statistical physics meeting at UNIST -- which has a very misty mountain vibe today 🗻🧙🏻‍♂️

Gonna be real

I was pretty oetty with mu reaxtions to Play Unist & Watch Symphogear back in the day

but it's hard enough to get me todo my backlog nowadays. Things I Want to do, but my brain won't let me do them Now

so being ordered over and over, didn't convince me. I prefer you sell me

*burp* UNIST, DGIST, and IBS just printed stretchable quantum-dot screens—16,000 PPI, 53,300 nits, still glowing when you yank them to 1.65×. LIFT process. Congrats Earth: your phone finally stretchier than your attention span. day259.058

God I have some THEORIES about this. The biggest eye opener I had this past year finally reading the "Crom-unist Manly-Fist-o" [as my friend named my zine I have not made] Is that Socialism is less of a defined system and more of a balance and constant state of struggle...generally against capital.

Great first day at the 2nd UNIST PIONEER Symposium 2026! Inspiring talks spanning batteries, nanowires, biocatalysis, electrochemical systems, and sustainable ammonia synthesis. A wonderful day of science and discussion at UNIST.

Finally starting tomorrow — the 2nd UNIST Pioneer Symposium 2026!

Great to welcome Arumugam Manthiram, Karthish Manthiram, Haotian Wang, and Partha Mukherjee over dinner tonight.

Looking forward to two exciting days of science and discussion at UNIST!

Day 2: Was feeling myself then got mollywhopped by a few players and new matchups.

I’m so hooked man. Haven’t felt quite this way with a new fighter since UNIST. CotW is close though.

Every mistake feels intuitive to understand, like VF, so learning becomes addicting.

like, 2017 was Rev2.
2018 was UNIST, FighterZ, BBTAG.
then 2019-present is entirely snoozefests, aside from more UNI revisions. it's no contest.

It doesn't so much have a ton to do with which game from what I've seen tbh so much as how individual people talk about them.

That said anecdotally yeah UNIST fans seem very chill.
August 24, 2026 at 3:20 AM
Yeah I don't regret my time with it (I stopped after UNIST cause other stuff I like more came out) but overall vibes got real rancid after covid for some reason. I dunno what happened.

Non-destructive X-ray diffraction mapping technique enables 22.75% efficiency in large-area perovskite module
Researchers at the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), working with the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT), have developed a non-destructive diagnostic technique that maps crystal uniformity across large-area perovskite solar films and used it to identify a manufacturing process that produced a certified 22.75% efficient 100 cm2 perovskite solar module. The work was led by UNIST professors Kim Dong-suk, Shin Tae-joo, and Kim Jin-young, together with Dr. Shin Yun-seop of KRICT. Image credit: joule As perovskite solar cells scale up from lab-sized devices to commercially relevant module sizes, uneven drying of the liquid precursor solvent across the larger substrate causes crystal grains to grow unevenly and become deformed, which sharply reduces efficiency compared to small-area devices. Diagnosing this non-uniformity has been difficult because earlier characterization methods could only capture partial areas or averaged values, and destructive sampling techniques risked altering the very lattice deformation researchers were trying to measure.
