I found Mad Men unwatchable because the characters *sounded* anachronistic to me. I thought they talked like 21st century people. I don’t know enough about dialects to know if that was even correct.

I didn't realize they were playing so early. I would've went to the game. I actually took the day off because I went to a show last night. The broadcast is unwatchable like this.

I wonder if the show will make it another year. I just fast forward to Weekend Update. The cold open used to be good, and sometimes the monologue (depending on the guest). The skits last year were mostly just not funny. I’m not trying to be mean, but they really were mostly unwatchable.

Reading a book set in 1520 and the characters are using the word 'clairvoyance' and it feels off. It's first use was in the 19th century. It's early Victorian.
I understand the use of common words (so we can read a story) but I wish writers would avoid noticable anachronisms.
