Oh definitely, the PS2 on a big modern screen is ROUGH, unless you use some kind of expensive upscaler

oh, also: they upgraded the game's FSR upscaler from 3.0 to 3.1, so now the auto FSR4 upgrade works without any outside software. just wonderful

hey so the thing about QSSR is that looking at a 4x zoomed in picture doesn't actually tell you how well an upscaler is doing, you have to see it in motion
also QSSR is not AI like generative AI, it's AI in like what we used to call machine learning or whatever

You can also just use the TV out on your PSP if you have a later model and the right ports on your TV. Or feed it into an upscaler I guess, if you have one of those lads.

My thing is like, we don't differentiate between "AI" and other things that fall under that umbrella currently. Like, the "AI" upscaler in my TV is just a filter that scans incoming frame data and adjusts the areas that should be upscaled. A human obviously can't do that in real time. That's useful.

was looking into some sort of (cheap) converter/upscaler for ps2 stuff but it seems like the best bet is either spend a million dollars on a fancy one or just use a crt. bummer, guess its time to rearrange everything to fit in my small crt
