Hey, the Council is taking this up ~again~ today.

And @urbaninstitute has some very interesting research showing that 2-4 unit buildings make up the majority of all TOPA transactions! A very far cry from assurances that this would be a minimal change...

The @urbaninstitute claims a family of 4 needs to make $151K annually to have "economic security" in the northeast. Whatever one thinks of this definition of "security", income-support policies can't get there. The key is reducing costs, so that $151K *isn't* needed. ctmirror.org/2024/12/10/c...

Good question. For one we don’t know how many people are now deterred from applying. On the number of people who will lose their coverage there are various national models with percent ranges that @urbaninstitute and others have done. I’m a cynic, NE may keep the number down before the election?

Here's a map of the avg. # of grades per school by county. Lower=more schools. My county is ranked second lowest in the nation (out of 3,216 counties) as far as fewest grades per school. Uses CCD data via @urbaninstitute.
