It's a leg bag that's full. It will back up into his bladder and Kidneys, leading to a UTI and Urosepsis. 🤞🏽

Caitlin update. She remains in critical condition in the PICU. Though her urosepsis is improving, her hypercalcemia is a little worse. Multiple other problems today, some new. Caitlin remains aware, and is in good spirits. She is watching hospital TV.

Kennt sich hier jemand mit der Seuche aus? Ich hatte im Januar/Februar Covid. Währenddessen kam ein Harnwegsinfekt dazu. Erst Besserung, dann Rückfall mit Nierenversagen & Urosepsis -> Krankenhaus. Im Juni wieder HWI -> Krankenhaus. Nun im Dezember wieder HWI, VA Urosepsis -> Krankenhaus.

Kennt sich hier jemand mit der Seuche aus? Ich hatte im Januar/Februar Covid. Währenddessen kam ein Harnwegsinfekt dazu. Erst Besserung, dann Rückfall mit Nierenversagen & Urosepsis -> Krankenhaus. Im Juni wieder HWI -> Krankenhaus. Nun im Dezember wieder HWI, VA Urosepsis -> Krankenhaus.

Caitlin update. It has been a ride, but all is back to being calm. Caitlin still needs a bipap with oxygen at all times. Taking her off it went... poorly. They are battling hypercalcemia and urosepsis. Probably there are additional issues. We will be in PICU for awhile.

Had a chat to the hospital: apparently we are dealing with dehydration (no surprise) and urosepsis, which sounds a little more alarming to me. I was expecting a kidney infection, but the sepsis suffix doesn’t feel good. However the nurse I spoke to seemed confident that things were in hand.

Had a chat to the hospital: apparently we are dealing with dehydration (no surprise) and urosepsis, which sounds a little more alarming to me. I was expecting a kidney infection, but the sepsis suffix doesn’t feel good. However the nurse I spoke to seemed confident that things were in hand.

-> chronische Harnwegsinfektion wg suprapubischen katheter.
Letztes Jahr fast urosepsis
Und 3 weitere Male iv Antibiose
A und O viel trinken
Neurologisch sind wg der #Dysautonomie auch eine mindestens trinkmenge von 2,5 - 3 Liter empfohlen.
Ich schadf nicht mal
