The progression of certain thinkers from denying the validity of trans people to denying the validity of disabilities is a nice illustration of the way in which transphobic habits of mind can quickly evolve into a kind of acquired sociopathy.

No one needs anyone's permission to be "valid," but trans folks need legal protection, healthcare, and access to resources like healthcare.
