The only time I’d look good on a dance floor, is if I’m sanding and varnishing it.

Anyway, brushes: Get the best you can afford, and take care of them. I swear by Rosemary & Co for cost vs quality. I use Artis Opus when people buy them for me as gifts. When they lose their points (inevitable, sadly), demote them to basing, drybrushing, varnishing, etc. Get your money's worth!

We also have some ace rewards to go along with this kickstarter! Every copy will come with a stylish calling card. This sleek and stylish card gives the APWOT logo a distinctive 'ransom note' redesign, elevated with spot varnishing to give the card a tactile, sumptuous texture.

Thanks! I know I haven't been taking and sharing lots of photos lately, but with the exception of these buildings, the hobby stuff I have been doing is essentially varnishing and putting stuff back in place, so not exactly worthy enough to share, but I should take some pictures once these are done.

I am thankful to find a local bakery with yummy pastries for breakfast.
For a productive morning and early afternoon doing some maintenance on the ship. Team long arms varnishing the varnish strake.

Today I was varnishing the painting
The varnish makes the colors look brighter and deeper, while also adding a protective layer that will help preserve the painting for many years to come
And once again, a little glimpse into the process — you can hear the hum of a generator in the background

Oilcloth research is going quite well, so it's time to think about scaling up production.
Will start by sourcing a mangle.

I'm painting and varnishing some hoops this morning, and can't decide whether to give this black hoop a matte, sparkle or gloss finish. Oh decisions, decisions... 😄

getting all done and in position to start using it as ritual space in 1 week, so after that will probably be not more pics or content-related for obvious reasons. right now just cleaning, checking the space, moving stuff around ahead of painting and varnishing, etc ✨
