I just finished Vigil, by George Saunders.

This is a book that reminds you why you should be reading books. It casts a new light on what an afterlife and the transition into it might be like. In the last two chapters I found myself tearing up.

I think one of the biggest issues with finishing a book like Vigil: A Novel, is that once you are done and looking for the next read, you feel like nothing you are going to read will touch you the way that book did. There's an emptiness.
