I realize that "the cruelty is the point" has gone from incisive to banal to cliche but it cannot be emphasize enough that the actual deliverable of the Trump administration and indeed of all Republican violance is suffering and memes of it for the base to laugh at. It's the Bully State.

Its not even acurate. Even after slavery ended, there was (and honestly still is) tons of reproductive violance against black people. Unconsentual sterilisation, astronomicly higher mortality while giving birth,... that history isnt even that hard to find
