Kirbtober Day 24: Betrayal

(DX) No one likes being betrayed by the ones ya consider to be friends, and that's no truer than the Kirby Fandom, which has been traumatized from newer Kirby friends ever since the jester & the egg used Kirby for their own goals... Even though it only happened twice and somehow the fandom treats it like it happens often and the joke is overused and I hate it. (Like chill out) Anyhow, today's prompt is Betrayal, and I am covering all three of them today! Wait, what do ya mean by three, Sage? Well stay tuned for the last one. Remember I pointed out I could've done this earlier in my prompt for wish? This is what I meant, I knew I was going to do this eventually so here's the true drawing itself, and a DX version of last year's Kirbtober, which was also in wish funnily enough. Kirby was seeing the moon and the sun fighting for no reason, but a jester named Marx told Kirby he could do something about it if he gets the colored stars and summoned a Clockwork Star named Galactic Nova. Which Kirby eventually does but when he was going to wish for something, Marx heel turned and kicked Kirby out and said his own wish, to control Planet Pop Star. Leaving Kirby dead in space and he was the one who cause the Moon & the Sun to fight to begin with, he planned this from the beginning. Marx's colors here are based on the artwork from Kirby Super Star, hence the different pallet than the new one I used in yesterday's art, and this is before he absorbed to reanimate his corpse to get back at Kirby. So Galactic Nova's energy changed up his skin color and was still able to keep his new powers after his defeat. Ya know, I was considering reusing the asset that I have for Galactic Nova in my drive, but I decided to just draw Galactic Nova again, but she has the correct eye color now. Other than that, yeah her design is still the same. The background however is still the same color of blue from my Kirby Super Star Ultra drawing, which is the few that I saved in my drive. (DX) So, full stop, I did this without knowing that Kirby Return to Dreamland was turning 15 years old. So, uhm, consider this second drawing of Kirbtober to be the anniversary art for RTLD as well. Ah, it's been a while since I drew Traitor Magolor? Well this prompt (and 15th birthday) has given me an excuse to draw Traitor Magolor again! The design of him has improved greatly and the colors are made to be more accurate to Traitor Magolor's colors, and the red and blue are made much more darker than the Chrome Canvas colors I used, which still did a good job for Traitor Magolor, I bothered to do the rings that is around his hands, and his eyes are no longer red but somewhat in the middle that the design uses. Complete with the Master Crown on top of his head since it's how he even gained this form to begin with. Kirby when he is confronted that one of the people he trusted betrayed him, he just stares with no other expression behind it. Which actually annoyed Traitor Magolor. Bandana Waddle Dee however is completely taken back by the betrayal that Magolor pulled on them and he ended up falling onto the floor on his back because of Traitor Magolor's betrayal. King Dedede is heavily shocked by this news and he is stunned and lost for words. He is dumbfounded beyond belief. Yeah I know Meta Knight is on the ground when this happened but since Traitor Magolor & King Dedede took up room space, I resorted to having Meta Knight flying with his wings. He has been carefully trusting Magolor, he never really trusted him fully but now that Magolor revealed his true colors, he is angered by the betrayal. The background here is from the Let Me Explain Everything cutscene where Magolor revealed his true goals after Kirby and friends defeated Landia. Happy 15th anniversary Kirby Return to Dreamland! Wait, what? Why Kracko is here in this drawing, they didn't even betray Kirby, they just hate Kirby. And ya would be right in that thinking, but if ya don't recall, in Kirby Fighters Deluxe on Very Hard, if ya pause the game on their boss fight in that game, they will actually talk in the pause screen in an upset way, and even references certain games like being hit by Hi-Jump, that was in Kirby's Adventure, replaced by a mechanical cloud, that was in Kirby Squeak Squad and Doc, and the important one here is being betrayed by helpers. Even Kirby can benefit from a heel turn and Kracko is upset by this. So this is the part that I am referencing. In Kirby Super Star/Kirby Super Star Ultra, ya can use Helpers and Kracko often drops Waddle Doos in the battlefield, which Kirby can use to gain a Copy Ability or to create a Helper, which is what happened here. Waddle Doo was sent into battle by Kracko but Kirby made sure that he could make that Waddle Doo heel turn on Kracko, which is exactly what happened and now Waddle Doo fights Kracko. Beam Kirby's appearance here is from Kirby Super Star Ultra, so expect the color change that game had in that time, and it would be the last time that Beam can grant Kirby a color change. Kracko's appearance here is the same as always, although I made sure that he has eyelids and not just an angry expression, which was also added in their revenge form as well. The background here is directly reused from the Kracko Revenge drawing that I did for Kirby Super Star Ultra's anniversary. Which adds up since the battlefield for Kracko in Kirby Super Star changed to be this, and Kracko Revenge does reuse this battlefield in their appearance after Kracko Jr Revenge. So it adds up. And that's all for now, next time, we'll show off the blades. Until then, I hope yall have a good one! and I'll see y'all next time.
