First day back at the day job after one week of holiday. My job is not bad. Working with children can be quite fulfilling in itself, but I dream of being able to just exist and create without needing the money.

I suspect you have already gleaned that these terms are *deeply* embedded in the American love of wagework, that the highest calling is a job. Hobos -- at least those who self-identified as such -- prided themselves on being contributing members of society, rather than "parasites."

I get irked at the idea of living off royalties for example, but how much of that is me mad I do wagework and lack creativity? Not to mention hey, if it's how creatives get paid and that's it, I guess it's that or nothing?

Same thing with pirating; how much of that is just me wanting shit?
