A Gloom-bleed doesn't invade a county. It overwrites the color out of it. In the depths of the Dungeon, the wheel's influence seeps in, erasing what once was. Wardens seal, Riftguild harvest, Chorus worship – three verbs that govern the Wheel's cruel whims.

Today I learned that a literal fire station, staffed 24/7, 365 days a year by at least 4 professional firefighters, and containing at least two fire trucks, needs to have a nominal “fire warden”, in case of fire.

This would get me to join the Grey Wardens.
The Joining requires petting every single cat in Minrathous.

I’ve known enough game wardens to know that euthanasia is truly a last resort. Trust me, they do not want to kill them. Our local gives us advice and methods to scare them off. Luckily, thus far this year we haven’t had much visitation (except the night the bear found the birdfeeder).

With the Sift being discovered beyond the Ancient City Portal, I now wonder what the purpose of the Ancient Cities were.
Who lived in the cities?
Were those Redstone labs under the portal used to test the Sifts power?
Are Wardens, corrupted Singers, all that remain?

i feel the Wardens guns could be more attractive to extract if there was a unique chip on it so that the rest could be modded and it would otherwise retain a chip mod effect representing the Warden. i think mostly Tox & Wraith are lacking in this way bc there aren't tox or hack chips yet?

i really like when the wardens drop their weapons but i tend to be the only player taking the BRRT, Conquest, altho more players near end of Nightfall took the Zeus (don't remember what Tox drops).

I doubt they yearn to do this job. They do it to hold the government accountable and provide independent third-party accounts of the execution. Many suffer long-term mental health consequences as a result, like PTSD. Same with prison staff. Many former wardens are now anti death penalty.

Rook had formal schooling only until she was around 15-16. She is pretty good at holding onto info once she learns it and has always enjoyed reading for pleasure, and in the Wardens you pick up a lot from people from all over. So she knows a lot but her knowledge is more broad than deep.

What was your OC like as a student? Did they go to a school somewhere, were they homeschooled, did they have a mentor...? Are they smart?

'oh that army of yours in exalted plains? that was us, you're welcome'

'venatori mages? us. red templars? yeah, also us'

'guess who saved all of grey wardens btw'

'we have like SO many dragon skulls in Skyhold, you've no idea'

'brb solving a court conspiracy'

Yeh. As much as I love Wardens, they are *way* to niche. Sure they can make SB to fit, and HE and BE when and if (so many War3 custom campaigns with BE wardens hehe) But it would still be that, and elf locked class, even if in terms of raw numbers it wouldn't be different than Druids or Paladins.

Wardens are functionally Subtlety Rogues, most of their signature abilities literally come from Maiev in TFT.

Witch just sounds like an Affliction Warlock with more personality, and San'layn is literally just a Blood Death Knight which feels out of place in Forever imo.
October 1, 2026 at 11:49 PM
My thoughts in a nutshell:

Necromancer? Yes. Monk? Sure. Death Knights and Demon Hunters are way too Hero-classy for Forever's power level. Tinker would work better in retail

Wardens, Witches and San'layn feel redundant. Illusionist should just be part of Mage and Bard... Idk
I like almost all of these except Warden. i dont think one specific race's fantasy is broad enough to be a class, especially w that description.

The rest sound coolish (witch just seems like aff lock)

(this is from a 'leaked' survey.)

give me tinker and baaaard.
October 1, 2026 at 11:47 PM
Like I swear if Forever somehow gets Tinkers and Bards and Retail never gets them, I probably will be a bit pissed off ngl

But then something like Witch feels like that's just an Affliction Warlock with extra steps

Wardens are literally Subtlety Rogues in lore for the most part, etc.

Yes to the scousers...and I hated his Stravros "hello peeps" way more than Loadsamoney. But his partnership with Paul Whitehouse did serve up some really funny stuff. But oddly a sketch that pissed me off the most by both of them was about traffic wardens. Laziest easy targets on the planet.

Out of the tummy fog and no other afflictions, today has been going OK!

Which given the anxiety of recent weeks is a bigly yuge step up.

Sickness hit the Undermountain group so now we are on hold til after #GameHoleCon (prep to do for Wardens)

So I made a nice dinner and the house smells AMAZING!

In other words, the only possible reason to kill someone thirty years later is if the wardens are incompetent at managing their prisoners.
