Hab heut geträumt, dass ich in der alten Warmbad-Therme bin (wer weiß, weiß), ich will raus ins Außenbecken schwimmen, doch ach, das wird vom Meer gespeist, ein Tsunami kommt aus Richtung Süden, über die Berg drüber, Richtung Außenbecken, ein Schwimmer klatscht gegen die Fensterscheiben, er lacht.

#Villach 🇦🇹 today at dusk, between Auen Abzw Junction and Warmbad Villach. An #ÖBB 1163 electric is hauling a short mixed freight. 1163s are switchers, yet they can also be seen working mainline duties. The train, using the westernmost track, most likely originated at Villach Süd marshalling yard.

A photo taken earlier this week, while on a walk in the #Villach 🇦🇹 area - a walk which led me, by pure coincidence of course 😉, to the train station at Warmbad Villach: an #ÖBB Class 1293 #Vectron leads a southbound freight, for either Italy or Slovenia (and possibly beyond).

#Villach 🇦🇹 Warmbad station earlier today: an #ÖBB #Siemens 230 kph Class 1216 electric, certified also for running in #Italy 🇮🇹 and #Slovenia 🇸🇮, is seen here on an S4 suburban service from #Hermagor. The 8,600 HP developed by this loco are more than enough to haul the modest three car consist.

Track 1, on the left, is closed to through traffic because of track works. Loading gauge markers are in place.

A type ES 64 F4 #Siemens Class E.189 #Dispolok is seen here speeding through #Villach Warmbad 🇦🇹 in July 2006. Around this time, these locos, decorated with big #ÖBB stickers on the body sides, could frequently be seen in southern #Austria, mainly on workings into #Italy.

Warmbad #Villach 🇦🇹 station, the other day: a southbound intermodal, hauled by a pair of #ÖBB Class 1293 #Siemens #Vectron electrics, is passing through. About one kilometre further down, at Auen Abzw. fork, the line splits into the #Tarvisio 🇮🇹 and #Jesenice 🇸🇮 branches.
