I wonder what suburb living dynamics (esp for YUPs) would look like in a world where serious all-day regional frequencies existed, at least like the weirdly strong PABT-bound NJT bus around Weehawken. If you want to live along most NJ rail, you're beholden to so much friction for nonwork city trips.
