Been almost 4 months since I started my mahi and 3 months since my partner got his mahi after 8+ months of struggling on one shit salary.

Every pay has been paying back debt we couldn't pay for 8+months. Repossess' on our doorstep.

Bank is threatening to sell our ancestral whenua we bought.

No end in sight. Hui with the bank today about options before they try to sell our whenua.

I'm so sorry thats so hard. Could you make another crowd funder for the whenua? I would happily donate and I'm sure others would too.

This is so true. It’s a calm and considered book, but I find it impossible to drive south from Auckland without feeling the weight of all that history draped across the whenua, called up by the road signs and the names of the places in Vincent’s telling of the stories

I'm absolutely furious right now. I'm afraid that Hipkins has just condemned us all to at least 3 more years of rapidly escalating cost of living, poverty, worse health outcomes and erosion of rights for tangata whenua, workers and communities all to enrich the corporations and super wealthy

Māori mā!
We contributed to paying off the COMPOUND INTEREST LOAN owed to the British Empirical govt, incurred by (Gov.Grey) the transfer of soldiers from the SA Boer & Asian Indian conflicts to AoNZ, to kill us & steal our whenua.
We helped pay for it…
…& it took many, many years!

I do not want a 4year term, while it might be okay if we had good governance, but we don't. There is no way i want this CoC in government any longer, one more year (or 3) we would not be AoNz but some colony of UsA 🤬 not owning our own Whenua, have political neutrality. Sold to the Highest bidder 🤬

As opposed to all those violent hikoi we have had recently?

Plenty of people want Kāpiti Airport's land returned to mana whenua. But what if they don't want an airport on it? With LINZ confirming a s40 process is underway, here's the issue: Do airport supporters back returning the whenua, or only on their own terms?

Airport supporters are about to face a dilemma. They've said for years they want Kāpiti Airport's land returned to mana whenua as they think that'll save the airport. But it now looks like mana whenua are going to be involved in buying the land back, and apparently they don't want an airport on it.

Pākehā led marine conservation will continue to fail without genuine partnership with mana whenua.

Before the five new Southeast Otago marine reserves (part of Te Au Roa o Te Rakihouia) created this year, there was a 15 year gap in mainland marine reserve creation.
