Die Wikipeadia-Seite zu #MEcfs ist ja mal wirklich gut gepflegt! 👍 Ich schätze, da steckt viel Arbeit von Betroffenen und Angehörigen drin und einigen engagierten Fachpersonen.

"The term "hillbilly" is Scottish in origin but is not derived from its dialect. In Scotland, the term "hill-folk" referred to people who preferred isolation from the greater society, and "billy" meant "comrade" or "companion". "*

I think I've seen you 'read' Wikipeadia/external websites...

The thing about wikipeadia is that it's a starting point. It gives you a basic rundown with links to sources if you want to check or do a deeper dive.
LLMs and The Daily Hate don't do that, they just say what they've been told by billionaires what they think people want to hear/should think.

Missed this the other day sorry!

I would say canals a lot more in the north England from the industrial days. Checked and seems right, but a lot more rivers than I thought - if the map from Wikipeadia is right (rivers in blue, canals in orange)

Thanks Robin. The whole game of conkers, is such a weird game where I have only encountered it in Britain. After writing this I was cheeky and looked on wikipeadia and it does seem to be a british/irish game. Kids are missing out!!
