I haven’t always been successful with plug wires but did pretty well with these Rolls Royce Falcon plugs for my WW1 Bristol F.2b Wingnut Wings kit. Still more things go on the engine but this is a satisfying start.

Using my drill jig again.

#histscalemodels, #scalemodels, #wingnutwings The really difficult thing about WW1 aircraft kits isn’t so much the rigging but that the wings are held together by insanely delicate struts. The lower wing on the Bristol f.2B is suspended below the fuselage by hopes and wishes on this kit.

Test loose fitting the cockpit to the Wingnut Wings Bristol F.2B fighter. Using chipping fluid to reveal underlying wood, metal and CDL fabric.

I’m certainly no expert but in tackling WW1 models, I have decided the easiest way to rig them is with EZ line and Gaspstch metal hooks. It requires micro drill bits and a drill press so I found this cheap Etsy unit that holds my small Dremel. #histscalemodels, #scalemodels, #wingnutwings
