It's schlocky advice but genuinely, if I ever feel like Ive dragged a PF group, I just need to remind myself all the absolute dead weight I've seen with clears they got by just fishing until they get a carry in PF and I don't feel quite so bad. It has rough days though, for sure.

...Hahaha so I was advancing one of my NPC alts through EW and someone had happened to put up a PF for "MSQ prog" for the same duty I was about to do with Duty Support. We wound up in a party with an Alphinaud healing. XD
So I was talking to the other MSQ-advancer and it was their first time...

Groups almost always fumble because of schedules moreso than anything to do with the talent of the people in them. I definitely wouldn't take it disbanding to heart, even if it didn't work out. I've long since accepted I do a static for fun with friends and PF for any actual progress, tbh.

I really wanted to prove to myself that I could do it each and every time, and I don't have the confidence or time to PF them. I know it's likely more to do with the fact I opt for groups I have fun with rather than looking for one that will for sure clear, but still...

Oh for sure; I'm not anti-jank personally!
My only problem with jank is that it makes a game a little harder to recommend to the less mechanics-minded members of my playgroups.
I switched over to PF from 3.5 back in the day mainly because I liked it more but also because it was easier to teach.

I really am uncomfortable going with a "memorize these" strategy instead of a (more) powerful divisibility rule strategy.

So I have specific classes in mind for characters, that don’t necessarily match what they picked for the merch, but mine are very PF 1e-based.

Alot my left arm is pretty much sleeved up, i have a tridorce, avatar kyoshi, a logo for my favorite band, the empress tarot card, a crystal crown. The emperors new groove potion bottle, and all pf them have flowers of some kind intertwined with them
