- Provide secure defaults for our apps, and retry policies etc
- Add new, usable, wired up resources in 3 lines of code across 2 projects

I get your point, if something's working for you then it may not be worth the migration. I think a lot of C# devs like to stay in C# though (think Blazor).

Circular references work fine, you don't need to define everything up front as they're just builders, so you can do this.

Thanks very much. I am not calling WithEndpoint as that always seems to require a host port too, which I didn't want. But even with that added it doesn't work. I am using WithReference(svc.GetEndpoint). I'll keep trying, missing something obvious I think... 😄

A thing I'm wondering about with .NET #Aspire, how do I solve circular dependencies? I have two services, and I want both to know about the other for comms. The screenshot doesn't work obviously, but what's the recommended way to solve it? Can I just declare the id variable first?

We can reference the SQL Server database using the .WithReference(sql) method. This injects the connection string to the database into the environment variables of the service.

Aspire makes Azure Functions and client libraries agree on connection settings with IResourceWithAzureFunctionsConfig and a smarter WithReference. Emulator or Azure identity, it smooths the config so you can ship.

#dotnet #azure #dotnetaspire
How does Aspire expose resource connection info to the Azure Functions runtime?

40 years ago, we were taught how to analyse essay questions to make sure we understood what the examiners were asking, and how best to do that withreference to the text but there was no mention of boxes to tick.

More sketchbook stuff.

It’s relaxing to just ink but sonetimes I find myself holding my breath when there’s a tricky part. Anyone else?

ugging Face’s model hub. With your model added, integrate it into any services in the app host: builder.AddProject("api").WithReference(chat);. Run your project and the Ollama server will begin downloading your model. Ensure you don’t stop the app host until that download is complete!
