Caleb took a moment to look up at the sky. Snow was falling. It had been years since he'd last played in the snow. Even though he'd caught a cold, he treasured that memory as one of his best; especially because his parents were still alive. Someone took his gloved hand. It was Evelyn, lying next to him. -"We have enough blood for the Portal… though I think this one needs to thaw"- she said, noticing a vial that had fallen into the snow. For a while, Caleb wore his hair loose to hide his ears. Not because he was afraid of what the witches would do to him if they discovered he was human, but because he wasn't keen on the idea of ​​them staring at him curiously or trying to pull his ears to check if they really were round. A little Headcanon: neither Luz nor Philip could recreate the Portal because Caleb took a crucial ingredient for its operation to his grave. Caleb reasoned that for the Portal to connect with the Human Realm, he had to add something that originated there to the process. He initially tried to add a piece of one of his ears, but Evelyn stopped him. She wasn't willing to let him mutilate those adorable ears. So Caleb decided to use his hair.
