I managed to improve my years old WS2811/WS2812 (24 bit color deep) driver in ASM, to control sk6812 rgbw 32bit LEDs :D
It took me some hours to handle all the jump marks and registers, to match it to the 800kbit/s spec, again.
It’s working like a charm now

Why isnt there more support for whatever communication protocol the ws2811 uses? Makes no sense. It's so simple, and like every argb controller supports it.

One of the magic search phrases is "ws2811" (the most common chip addressable led lights use (addressable means each light in a string can have its own color)) or "addressable led outdoor bulbs"

If that string of LEDs used a protocol similar to the WS2811 protocol, it's more likely Color Kinetics had the patent on that. See US 6,777,891.

Next year my jack-o-lanterns and skulls are changing colors! Found these single pixel LED strings on AliExpress. Will put one in each pumpkin / skull then add them to the light show. Controller chip is UCS2904 which uses same protocol as WS2811.

My biggest issue is voltage drop over that length of wire but those injection points from a 12v/12amp power supply should provide the juice. I plan to give it a go this weekend and am shooting to get 40% brightness for the room.

Soooo do these nipples support WS2811
Testing the Canon R50 mirrorless camera for the first time! - I definitely think I need a macro lens (and a wide angle one to compensate for the cropped sensor), and it doesn't take photos in certain light levels, hope there's an option to disable that! #Photography #CanonR50 #Canon

Just completed soldering my NeoPower prototype board. A convenient way to control (nearly) any number of DC motors over a single wire. Just attach a full H-bridge driver (in this case DRV8251) to a Neopixel control chip (WS2811) and you're done! You can daisy-chain as many motors as you like.

Just completed soldering my NeoPower prototype board. A convenient way to control (nearly) any number of DC motors over a single wire. Just attach a full H-bridge driver (in this case DRV8251) to a Neopixel control chip (WS2811) and you're done! You can daisy-chain as many motors as you like.
Finally found time to play around with ws2811 LEDs :P

controller i built for my bedroom lighting. I added an external relay to switch power to the strip when it's not lit. This saves 21w from just powering the ws2811 ic embedded on every LED.
