#xarray
Sneak peek: I implemented a 3 layer MLP that predicts the fashion MNIST dataset using SQL (with my own autograd impl inside the database). Apparently einsum notation is better expressed as a JOIN.

Not yet merged, but I added autograd to my array database experiment. I’m building a new NN framework primarily in SQL.

A major use case for xarray is multi-dimensional time-series data. Accordingly, we’ve copied many of features that make working with time-series data in pandas such a joy to xarray. In most cases, ...

Rewrote my Python bioformats wrapper (from aicsimageio/bioio) as a standalone package:

- fully bootstrapped Java setup (just pip install)
- lazy, repeatably-indexable Array object
- fully spec-compliant OME-Zarr group obj.
- xarray/dask exports

Google Earth Engine has amazing datasets and functionality, but I've always wished it worked well with my favorite Python tools.

Finally pushed a full 1.0.0 (not release candidate) to PyPI and conda-forge.

This also means that:
mamba install sharplib
conda install sharplib

Work now (assuming you have conda-forge set as your primary channel).

There is also now a Dask/Xarray/kerchunk example notebook for HRRR data!

I'm biased when I say this but from working with both pygrib and xarray using the cfgrib engine I definitely like xarray more when trying to tame those pesky NWS NDFD Grids.

arviz-stats exposes two APIs:

• Full xarray API (default): intended for end users doing statistical data analysis.
• Array-only API (NumPy/SciPy): intended for PPL developers or advanced users, who want diagnostics without xarray as a dependency.
