On the exact one year anniversary of the Santa Fe Pole studio, and barely two months into the year, I achieved my goal of nailing a pole invert! 🥳

Something I thought about was an old radio show (on NPR I think?) that interviewed someone who worked as basically a servant/concierge for the rich. Where they'd call and say "I need Xlbs of Alaska salmon by 8pm" or some crazy thing and these people had to find a way to do it...the rich will ...
Rich people think they're not vulnerable to these tariffs bc what do they care if caviar or champagne or porsches go up 40%. They'll manage. They don't yet understand that companies will stop importing things at all bc there isn't enough profit. And then they won't be managing quite as well

Thank you - interesting points. I take your point about popularity but we’d need more info about UK stats to assess that. For instance, there are a lot of XLBs in the fatal attack stats since 2020; far more than would be representative of their population. But there are deficiencies in the stats. >

That’s what it means to be responsible! I totally get the attachment too, & I understand why people who have well trained & well behaved XLBs feel defensive/protective. Still, if I saw a random dog attack a kid in the park, I’d fancy my chances against a papillon more than I would against an XLB.
