Just think, if Elon Musk was taxed a measly 1% of his trillion dollar net worth, that alone would yield 10 billion dollars.

Imagine what 10 billion dollars could do for public services and infrastructure..

The 5.7-kilometer deviated well was drilled 6 weeks ahead of schedule as Ukraine works to boost production amid Russian attacks on its energy infrastructure, including gas storage facilities in western Ukraine.

In Gaza's hellscape of Israeli-orchestrated famine, an apocalyptic thirst ravages: 80% water infrastructure bombed to oblivion, brackish aquifers poisoning kidneys, while reconnection gimmicks yield naught but dust. #GazaGenocide

america may not have walkable cities or bike infrastructure or anything else good like that, but at least we're allowed to turn right on red.

it is my god-given right and freedom to plow through pedestrians who i refuse to yield to in order to save 30 seconds and a negligible amount of gasoline.

Iran president: 'I strongly condemn attacking Iran’s energy infrastructure. Such aggressive acts will yield nothing for the Zionist–American enemy & their supporters. This will complicate the situation & could have uncontrollable consequences, the scope of which could engulf the entire world.'

Cycle infrastructure in the Netherlands.

The cycleway continues across the side road, clearly signalling that drivers must give way. At the roundabout, both the cycleway and pedestrian crossings have priority, so motorists yield again.

Simple design, clear rules, safer streets.

He shared this to bemoan the fact that the NIH and institutions were massively pulling back on basic research infrastructure and pandemic preparedness. Reacting quickly to new crises doesn’t just happen — it’s the result of decades of work you can’t possibly predict will yield the results you need

Not being able to invest in your infrastructure and refusing to invest in your infrastructure yield the same result.
Having been all over this world, the U.S. is EXTREMELY ghetto.

Aesthetically
Politically

A tragic turn of events for understanding the health of 50.5% of our population. This has been a landmark study and such a waste to end it early and disassemble the massive infrastructure built to yield new insights into women's health.
I don't get how anyone can possibly be okay with ending the WHI. This study has accrued decades of data from 42000 women and it is still going. It helps to address critical research gaps that have been allowed to go unfilled because of durable misogyny and provides invaluable insight into aging.

Interstate highways, train tracks, and power infrastructure are other great locations. And yes, agrivoltaic farming can be significantly more yield-efficient than either a bare field or covering it entirely.

People don’t talk about the songs from Mary Poppins about voting rights and low-yield investments in infrastructure projects.

Hi - energy policy professional here (despite what is says on my profile).

This is absolutely true. Venezuelan oil is low-yield garbage, and the state of their infrastructure is dire. This military adventurism is insanity and will achieve exactly nothing worthwhile, apart from unnecessary death.

Speed limits inside of an urban environment should never yield this type of destruction. Car design should be immediately tamed through regulation and infrastructure design should demand compliance that signs only can ask for.
The result of a hit-and-run, posted by a friend on Wednesday evening. San Diego really needs to tame the University Avenue car sewer through Hillcrest. #VisionZero

That the bids received by Russia's MinFin at the auction were asking for higher yield than what they can afford. And that banks that are the main buyers consider Russian government bonds much riskier than before as the state is failing to protect its critical infrastructure from drone attacks.

Trump added "the real pain is yet to come, for both the Houthis and their sponsors in Iran."

Growth in a debt-leveraged economy requires cheap energy.

Falling EROEI means consuming more energy to yield less net surplus energy.

Deprived of surplus energy, society cannibalizes its complexity by cutting infrastructure, healthcare, and education—suppressing wages and driving systemic decline.

Love the new HAWK at Dickerson and Hancock.

It’s crazy that we have to spend hundreds thousands of dollars to get motorists to follow the law and yield to crossing pedestrians tho.

This is car infrastructure.

Removed stuff that had low yield. Extended benefits and made them more generous when they worked/were popular. Expanded eligibility. We have no systems. It isn't just a matter of political feasibility it is infrastructure/capacity to do any of this.

Plutonium-239 is the preferred isotope for small-yield nuclear weapons. It is produced from Uranium-238 via neutron capture in reactors and can be extracted from spent nuclear fuel — an infrastructure we already have in place.

Because life is precious.
With nukes, at least we'll have a chance.
