Universities bring in foreign students ... to undercut the wages of American residents? What?

This is exactly backwards. Foreign students subsidize the tuition of American students.

I wonder why the VP who follows Nazis online has this all wrong.

Probably an innocent, non-racist mistake.
Vance: "Some of America's most elite universities bring in foreigners to undercut wages of American residents. There are 9 universities in particular we believe merit an investigation. Those are Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Brown, the University of Pittsburg, UC Davis, Cal Tech, Arizona State, and MIT."

Cannot say this enough: If a woman calls out rape culture, she's being "too sensitive" or a prude or she can't take a joke. If another guy looks you in the face and tells you that you're being a fucking freak, guys actually listen, which means giving your bud a pass is the worst thing you can do.
I had thought that I’d read that actively educating men about sexual assault was pretty effective- but I looked just now, and it seems like the effective strategy is _engaging_ men, asking them to enforce norms of consent and not being a fucking freak amongst other men

Heading downstate Thursday to an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon who may decide to operate on Mal’s knee. Any help for gas would be greatly appreciated and not forgotten. I’m incredibly sorry to ask as I know everyone is going through tough times. Please only help if you have the means.
Mal re-injured their knee during recovery and won’t be able to return to their job soon, and I can’t get a job due to crippling dysphoria. Stress levels high, USA is a fuck. Any help would be incredibly appreciated. We are very sorry to ask.

Journalists keep wanting the story to be "normal working class centrist has questions," not "our country is currently dominated by stupid people in a right wing echo chamber."
It’s confusing that @theatlantic.com described this man as a “a lifelong Democrat who had voted for Trump for the first time in 2024” who when these are some of his very easily findable FB posts:

i think this is often the case. there's often a need to believe the story is much more complicated below the surface, but sometimes it's not.

I think it’s a big problem that the white guy who voted for Trump in the Atlantic article was just taken at his word insofar as his voting history and beliefs when no one else would have been and yeah, I do think the journalist did a shitty job. He was believed due to being a white guy. Yikes.

I’d argue the entire media does this consistently
notable -- Fox News hasn't mentioned Trump's transphobic attack on Annie Andrews a single time. Not once. And they cover a lot of his Truth Social posts.

Almost like they're trying to protect their audience from learning the true depth of his depravity.

Putting aside the Biden age pile-on, it should be a bigger deal that Trump repeatedly falls asleep at seemingly every event and meeting when he's not speaking. Just in the abstract, away from who is in office, it's fucked up that the president of the United States can't keep his stupid eyes open.

Any Democrat who treats him as anything other than a plague-coated piece of shit should be stripped of committee assignments and primaried.
Trump: "We've gonna shove it up their ass ... They are a bunch of dumb son of a bitches"

Remember when presidents had dignity?

Here's a lowlight supercut from Trump's rally tonight in Ohio:
