If you think an artist's style looks like AI but you can scroll back through their portfolio and see them doing the same work before 2020, congrats, you're not looking at an AI grifter. You're looking at one of the original victims whose entire style AI stole.

Several weeks ago, Phil Tippett's legendary animation studio in Berkeley, CA closed. An anonymous hero noticed a folder of CDs. This turned out to be hundreds of unseen hi-res images and videos from Star Wars, Robocop, Jurassic Park, etc. ~90 isos for you to browse:

When I worked in a small town computer store circa 2003, we called this stuff "malware," and most of our customers paid us to get it off their machines. They just remade BonzaiBuddy while telling us it's good now.
“More than any other digital service, my email is a window into my brain. Now Meta has it. If that's not enough, Muse also suggested I give it my bank accounts. No thanks. I didn't let the AI run wild on my computer hard drive, either.”
'Things may get ugly': Meta's new AI Muse is about to make the internet more annoying
Someday we'll redesign the internet for tools like this. Until then, you're in for a wild ride.

Seeing an easy PR win, Neon is cashing in by announcing it’s making its own SCP movie. But unlike A24, it proactively reached out to the SCP Foundation Wiki team and has pledged to release it under the Creative Commons ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) license.
Neon sticks it to A24 by announcing a Creative Commons SCP Foundation movie

People forget that being smart is a superpower in warfare and plenty of drugged up roided up meatheads got dog walked by someone with half their body weight who was using their head.
Pete is lost in terms of modern war. I use the example of this outgunned Ukrainian army officer who successfully terrorized a Russian unit for weeks because she "did the math."

At the time, someone commented, "yeah, in combat, 'I did the math' beats 'I can do 100 pushups' every time."

i haven't followed wrestling since before wcw went under, so i don't know who anyone is, and even still this got me emotional
Everyone expected Ricochet to be the one to do it because Will has expressed shooting star presses are impossible with his neck now. The fact that he did it and it was difficult for him makes it mean even more.

Managed to hunt down two photos of the kitbashed model built by Jim Bowers as reference for the original WipEout game, sometime around 1993 or 1994.

You can see the logos on it are harvested from other kits- Toyota and Buick logos, USAF roundels, and more that I'm sure someone else could ID

How do you know what kind of RPG you're making? Well...

1. Do your players need to return to town mid-dungeon-delve because they ran out of resources and need to heal + sell?

2. When they do, do they hate your guts or are they taking it in stride because it's the core loop? xD

oh cool, magic race science and blood purity made the leap from harry potter to practical magic

this is why midichlorians suck, and every other form of genetic woo replacing hippie vibes based energy of the universe superpowers. yeah family curses and bloodlines and stuff but not that!
In Practical Magic, there was a little witch in every woman, and the PTA phone tree could produce an impromptu coven. In the DNA-obsessed sequel (Pace’s character even insists magic is in the RNA! I am not overstating the case!), most of us are NPCs who are welcome to buy the merch.
“I would warn you that there will be spoilers,” writes Meg Elison in her review of the new film Practical Magic 2, “but there doesn’t seem to be much point as the sequel retells the same story as the original.”
