Artemis is a hopeful reminder that government can be a good thing if we staff it with passionate, skilled, and honorable people.
“Government can do good and NASA is proof” is a message I don’t really see that often from Dems, and that’s disappointing.
The actual reality of what’s going on with NASA is a real trip when juxtaposed with what a hit the NASA-saturated “Project Hail Mary” film seems to be.

I wonder how many people who enjoyed the film are aware of just how much this admin has shanked all the cool real-world research it featured.

Oh please. Elon Musk's biggest concerns are:

1) His illegal activities will be investigated and exposed

2) A more responsible US government will cancel contracts with his companies

3) He will see more people of color around than he'd like, and will have to interact more with people he doesn't pay
Rattled.

Musk: “My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will:

1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate.

At the same time, this is still incredibly funny
check this shit out motherfucker (i spend billions of dollars on ai and sabotage my own search engine, its not clear what kind of move i was trying to do)
Breaking news: Alphabet shares tumbled 13% on Thursday after the Google owner revealed that 'AI mode' searches were threatening profits at its core advertising business. ft.trib.al/g8Q9IPx

It was clear to everyone in tech as far back as 2022ish that google was facing an existential risk with agentic search.

Their choices were to develop their own models at the expense of their original core business, or die.
The latter IMO. Take #$GOOGL for example. If the cat is out of the bag on agentic search, you either sit and watch your whole business unravel or you hop on the train.
What irony if AI destroyed Mag 7 moats. Craziest own goal or they had no choice?
