I saw Coyote v Acme today in a 3/4 full theater. No spoilers but there was a point in the movie where something happened and the entire audience “awwwed” in unison. It made me remember why I used to go the theater every week as a kid.

Okay but no “top NFL football player” is trying to compete against “a wonderful female athlete” in football so I’m not sure why this is relevant.

Interestingly, this is the reported reason that Sheridan left Paramount. He was allegedly pressured to be overtly political by the Ellisons and didn’t want it. Now he’s out at Paramount and set to start producing content at NBC Universal
FWIW, Paramount+ is one of the more conservative streamers, and they've done fairly well by matching conservative politics with genuinely quality writing that pulls in libs. But if you make "Landman or Yellowstone but as explicitly right propaganda" that model collapses
It's hilarious that they've convinced themselves that there's a massive, under-served audience segment just yearning for more right-wing content if only someone would give it them. It doesn't exist! The people they're talking about already only watch TV and entertain themselves by bitching about it
