On Sept. 9, newsroom management gave us less then two weeks to cull the herd — 2 or 3 of us must go. What do you cut when you’re down to bone? Would St. Paul benefit from not having a City Hall beat? No more State Capitol reporter? No more schools? We must choose by Monday, or layoffs likely follow.

my fav! but this article raises a thought for me: tech/social media is so bad right now, but the potential is there for something truly helpful. if the will was there, tech could help us bridge misunderstandings and find the humanity in each other instead of feeding our basest instincts and fears

if ai is built on guessing which words make sense in response to words received, and if theology is always limited by language’s natural boundaries, then is it safe to say ai completely lacks the ability to sense the numinous?
