I'm utterly disgusted with the BBC's reporting of this.
It is very hard to satisfactorily describe just how badly the BBC's journalistic standards have collapsed in recent years. Quite completely fucking useless.
The major problem with this reporting - beyond its fundamental inaccuracy - is that when arrests are eventually made there will be no proper context and therefore it will seem like the state is smothering free expression.

My biggest hope is Tommo's own boat capsizes in the middle of the deep, and the RNLI refuse to help him.

10. French authorities putting out a fairly direct warning that attempts to interfere with their actions in the Channel can be prosecuted. Thomas/Tommo is I believe subject to an entry ban to France, which he is thought to have violated once so far.
