Listen, some of us don’t live in Queens because our grandparents/parents were Brooklyn Jews and they didn’t like the Queens Jews and I can’t really explain any of that reasoning further.
When I interviewed at NYT Sam Dolnick (a Sulzberger) asked me where I lived and I told him (Deep Queens) and he told me- completely straight faced, that he heard "people were living there now."
He meant people like him, not people like me.

Part of my personal issue with gentrification as a lifelong Queens res is how insensitive some of the conversation is towards working class BIPOC areas. "oh it's good here now!" So you're saying the area was bad when it was mostly brown working class people? We have a right to feel hurt by that.

I genuinely think the stroke wiped out large swaths of his brain.
Whatever happened to John Fetterman, between the stroke and the mental health issues he's been dealing with, this isn't "just decided that being an anti-Dem troll was more fun." This is profound, and that staff is leaking texts like these shows that they know it.
