I have seen the promised land and it is Hoboken. There's so much similarity to Alexandria, even down to the lovely park underneath a big ol bridge! Congrats on the vision zero achievement, Hoboken, you've got a fabulous little city.

JUST IN: DC drought designation lifted after soaking rains

Latest US Drought Monitor shows encouraging progress: DC + much I95 corridor no longer classified in drought.

Obligatory cargo bike Costco haul pic, good for dunking on internet commentors who think bikes are only for recreation.

This is three months of a working family's pantry stock by bike with room to spare. And no Pentagon City parking shenanigans #ifykyk

I was the one who got the video of this near collision. I use @dashcam.bike and recommend it. It is an app that makes your phone into a dashcam, and although the quality isn't great, any video is good evidence. Data, even @abdelelnoubi.bsky.social
Owner of this account taking the mic to speak personally. A note on why we need infrastructure.

I had to take kid to an appointment in old town. I didn’t have a car available.

I took the safest route I could with my kid on the bike of my cargo bike.

I'm not voting for her again, very disappointed.
I’d like to point out that @greenejacinta.bsky.social said on the dais that she recently saw a cyclist almost hit on Braddock Road and then voted to oppose safety improvements on the corridor a few short hours later.

When someone tells you who they are, believe them.

Bike lanes are very popular and we deserve a full build out of Staff's recommendations for Braddock Road.
In cities, building is continuous
We can build for cars or we can build for people
To save democracy, we need to center people
I don't vote for politicians who support cars over people
