One striking aspect is that the majority of Russian soldiers fighting in 🇺🇦 are contracted (new additions or members of the regular army), not conscripted. 🇷🇺 is spending around 2% GDP/year just to pay for military manpower for the war (recruitment incentives + soldiers’ pay + casualty compensation).

Hola. No sé si importa a alguien pero os cuento lo que pasó la semana pasada. El jueves cuando volví de trabajar (sobre las 16h) ya no sé oían pitidos pero sobre las 18 escucho como llega el del bar, abre la barrera, trastea por ahí detrás, deja eso pitando y se va cerrando la barrera.

Elections in Sweden on Sunday. Narrow win for Left-Green-Center seems likely. Social benefits still exist, but classic Swedish social democracy (wrapped in nation-branding at best of times) is long gone. Overton Window in Sweden shifted right, so 80s/90s & even 00s social democracy politically dead.
