On the other end of the Bourbon and Beyond concessions spectrum, this hefty chicken kabob and fries meal cost me $22. Really great flavor. Way more food than I wanted or needed too. Bad news is that it wasn’t as easy to eat as o thought a kabob would be.

One perk of my son's college choice was being a short walk from the Kennedy Center. They even pointed it out during the tour. Now, it will be closed for all 4 of his years. It didn't influence his choice, but he was looking forward to seeing shows there. Everything is on fire, even the small stuff.

When youve been able to watch soccer all summer, you forget just how many freaking commercials there are in a football game. Maddening.

Last season @ Aston Villa - 0 points and a 95' goal to beat us 1-2. Villa finished 4th.

This season @ Aston Villa - 3 points.

Pretty big result.

When I was in high school, my friends and I smugly went to see the Black Crowes open for ZZ Top ready to make fun of the headliners, which I viewed as a novelty act. But they blew me away. Incredibly talented and, for me at least, way underrated.

A nice ode to one of my favorite undercard Jason Isbell songs. This one paints a scene in my mind as well as any of his songs, and it also happens to be a happy painting, which is a nice departure. www.newyorker.com/culture/song...
