Wow those forcasts could exceed or match the warmest October day on record #weather #October
This past week forecast models have been toying with the idea of some exceptional warmth for the time of year to end Sep &/or begin Oct.

Latest ECMWF det. run went all in for early Oct. This would be on par with the extraordinary start to Oct 2011.

A huge thank you to the 101,565 of you who took part in this year's #BigButterflyCount!

While many widespread butterfly species had a good summer, drought and record heat could impact next year’s populations.

Today's welcome rain was the most I have recorded in a day since 18th February.
It was a rather wet January and Feb, like 2025.
The first 9 months of 2022 were really dry!
