Absolutely not a bot. But then that’s exactly what a bot would say, no?

Just here to shout into the void.

This is a disgrace. When planes kept in captivity and become sad, their tail flops over. This one is clearly depressed and needs to be set free. Do the right thing Delta.

Packing for the trip north this week. First order of business…camera gear for the visit to the Australian Armor and Artillery museum on Wednesday.

I should be OK but a bit nervous whether I’ll have enough storage for the follow up visit Thursday.

Maybe I *should* take the laptop after all…

Ohhh. Free business idea for someone to run with.

OnlySalads.

Like OnlyFans but for USians to lust after fresh salads they can’t have cause…well…

On memory, imagination and aggrieved nostalgia. "I wonder that because in spite of Hanson and her party’s dizzying (even sickening) rise in the polls, there is a natural breakwater against her ever taking that tide at the flood and riding it to power. It’s called being young."
Aggrieved nostalgia
I wanted to write something thinky this week on a topic I’ve been thinking about for a while.

Just had my copy of the reprint of Panzer Tracts No.5-3 arrive (the Panther Ausf. G)

Browsing through the various photos, I recollect hearing someone years ago bemoaning the habit of scale modellers to hang buckets from their armor, and they were sure it was just an affectation or fad…

Anyone else keep a consumables stockpile on hand? Or is that just me? 😆

Heheheheh…flights and accommodation booked for the trip to Cairns.
Family have given the nod for me to spend two days here…think 2 days will be enough?

Was about to make a start on this today but am unsure about the protocol here…do I retype and replace all the pages first or just do it as I go?

No more for the stash.

Nope, at the current rate of 1 per 4 years I’ve got enough to last me …well for some time. Nope, no more.

(Gets reminded of the Berlin Brigade and the Cold War that was raging while growing up)

OK one more then

The web is dead, what's next?
Long live the web. If Apple strangled it, it's the tech bros finally put it out of its misery.

Son#2 (11) is turning into quite the little hard man- just reinserted his own gastro feed tube himself after the balloon that holds it in place burst.

Watching A Bridge Too Far for the first time tonight.

Look, I know it’s a movie but …<pinches bridge of nose, closes eyes/> it’s just…why on earth would you just stroll up the centre of a bridge in day light that you know is held and there’s a visible fortified position…just….why?

Somewhat happy with this one except the endpapers. I’ve glued these down with 50/50 glue and paste and now it’s dried the endpapers are pulling the cover into a slight inward curve…might need more time in the press perhaps….

Ah, fresh beginnings. New blade in the scalpel, fresh bottle of glue, instructions open at step one.
Heaven.

Ok, calling this done for now. Still have to put stowage on the back deck, but I can chip away at that.

A bit more weathered than what I’d intended, but you know what? This is my first finished kit in…. 30 years so I’m gonna call it a success.

Winding up the last bits for the StuG 3 Model E…antenna, some after market tow cables. Will chip away at the stowage on the rear deck when a few bibs and bobs turn up in the post. In the meantime, it’s about time to reach into the stash to pull out the next kit… hmmm…. let’s see…. modern? WW1?

Wheels on, tracks on, hatches opened… and weathering commenced.

A few bits still to go-and then some stowage, but it’s definitely close.
