I'm a lot of things while wearing a mask but anxious isn't one of them. Low-key aggravated, annoyed, angry? Sure. Mostly because wearing one is a constant reminder that so many of you refuse to do the right thing, or at the very least can't mind your own damn business.

I don't want to get my hopes up since there's been little to move the needle forward, but this is the closest things have gotten in almost 7 years to an actual treatment. It at least looks promising in early trials. So many of us with Long Covid are desperate to finally have a win.

The U.S. has entered its 13th COVID wave, with an estimated 1 in 86 Americans currently infectious. Around 567,000 new infections are occurring daily, totalling 3.69 million in a week. PMC estimates a single week at this level could result in 900–1,600 excess deaths.

Young women don’t have to “prove” to you that they’re sick.

Disability rates are skyrocketing because we’ve left a disabling virus rip through the population for over 6 years.

i wish more non-chronically ill people realized that there are more possible outcomes from infection than the simple binary of “recovering completely” and “dying.”

there are *many* ways post-viral illnesses and other complications can make us suffer without dying immediately.
