At 6'4", I’ve learned my legs are apparently a luxury upgrade. This airline charges $42 for “extra legroom” on an international flight. The $18 “classic” seat comes with a chance to fold myself like carry-on luggage.

I didn’t choose my height. This tall tax feels like discrimination.
