Galaxy uses a laptop with an e-paper screen, and has requested not to be contacted via video from the Justice League. At her short-lived barista gigs, she asked not to work at the register if was a touch screen.
Since it’s Disability Pride month, I loved how in Dream Girls 3 we also saw how Galaxy’s energy sensing can also be disabling.

What are some accommodation she might ask for in a workplace?

They want Temu tomes. They want Shein-ce fiction. 🫤
Appendix B.

"Reading is how you learn new words."

They do not want to encounter any friction whatsoever when reading. They want their books to be fast fashion. They want disposable, forgettable, ultra processed books.

I do not know how to explain this any clearer.

Super fun one today. I liked how it all just sorta unwound there at the end. 😁

Parents: don't do this. Don't grieve for the person you wish your kid had become, because that's weird and shitty and ignores the fact that your kid is a fully-formed person in their own right.

This goes for LGBTQIA+ kids, it goes for disabled kids, it goes for autistic kids. Love the kid you have.

Try to live life such that people are more excited to see your name put up on a building than taken off of it.
From RTÉ... www.rte.ie/news/us/2026... "...workers draped tarps over the temporary structure in the predawn hours and were seen removing letters around 3.10 a.m. in an operation that took about 30 minutes."

Workers have removed US President Donald Trump's name from the Kennedy Center, less than six months after it went up.

I've referred to this lecture before but there's another absolute gem: a student HAS to become vulnerable to learn because you are trying to do something before you know what you are doing, or even when you have done it.

But that vulnerability is uncomfortable. This is where AI sneaks in today.

It's also important to see how this tendrils through everything else. Issues of bodily autonomy (including LGBTQIA+ and abortion) get cast as "complicated" or outright rejected in no small part because accepting people's right to bodily autonomy means having to reject those abusers.
If sexual abuse was really considered a terrible thing, the world's richest and most powerful people wouldn't be abusers. The most valued technology wouldn't produce sexual abuse on demand. And allegations of abuse wouldn't be framed as positive depictions of masculinity. Our culture rewards abuse.

What we are seeing now, where support for LGBTQIA+ is inextricably tied to corporations ditching support. Their support is driven by how the public supports Pride, but it goes both ways. As corps stop supporting, the segments of society that were also only supporting performatively do the same.
of course they never cared about Pride, but the world in which they pretend to care is vastly better than the one in which they don't pretend and we are seeing it in real time

we want the money to think there's more profit in being performatively woke than performatively bigoted
I mean no disrespect but I can't believe we're still pretending "corporations never cared about Pride" is an interesting thing to say. even during peak corp Pride I think you had to be exceptionally dim to not get what was going on lol like yeah I think I know Chipotle would kill me for a nickel
